Caity,  If you can identify all the customizations that have been done to
sendmail.cf, you can put preserve them by using sendmail m4 macros:

LOCAL_RULE_CONFIG
LOCAL_RULE_*
LOCAL_RULESETS

and possibly HACK

If you know what the customizations are doing, its quick likely that there
is already something defined in the m4 macros to do it.
