Actually, looking at the error message again, sendmail is accepting the
mail just fine, it's when it tries to pass it onto the relay that it
runs into trouble. So it looks like he only needs 2, since 3 is
happening already:

>  2. For sendmail to rewrite that envelope sender to a valid address.
>  3. (Maybe) for sendmail to pass the mail on to his mail relay.
