Try doing a
$ rpm -ql imap-2001a
This will list all the files in that package, which may
a) show you where the docs are stored (probaby /usr/share/doc/imap-2001a/
b) enable you to work out which imap server it is (possibly from a)
It is also possible that, unless you want to hack the source, you may just be
unable to give root IMAP access. Once you know what IMAP server it is, then
there is a better chance of working out where to go from there.
Which version of RH did you say it was?
