[Techtalk] Extended Partitions

Hi,

I just fired up fdisk to partition a harddrive, and when I went to create an
extended partition, I noticed that fdisk lists two different extended
partition types.

The first is 0x0F Win 95 LBA, the second is 0x85 Linux Extended.

So what's the difference between the two? Which one is preferred? Are
there any implications in choosing one over the other?
