After much reading and tweaking, I am still unable to get my USB drive
to work with Gentoo. I have the correct modules loaded, and the
system recognizes the device, but does not assign the usb-storage
module driver to it. Therefore I can't find the device in the /dev
directory to mount, which is supposed to be a scsi device.
Motherboard is an Abatross KX600 with 4 USB 2.0 ports. Any help is
appreciated.

Drive: Butterfly Media 64 MG USB drive (recognized in Linux as ACDC)
I know the SCSI emulation is working because I am able to mount CD's
on both the CDRW and DVD drives as SCSI drives.

In the /dev directory I don't see any devices that begin with sc
In /dev/scsi I don't see anything.
In cat /proc/scsi/scsi I see
"Attached devices: none"

Pertinent output of dmesg:
hub.c: new USB device 00:10.2-2, assigned address 4
hub.c: USB hub found
hub.c: 2 ports detected
hub.c: new USB device 00:10.2-2.2, assigned address 5
usb.c: USB device 5 (vend/prod 0xd7e/0x2316) is not claimed by any
active driver.

Output of /proc/bus/usb/drivers
        usbdevfs
        hub
        usb-storage
	usbdnet
	usbnet

In /proc/bus/pci/devices I see 3 entries which contain usb-uhci. (This
and not the usb-ohci is correct for my mobo).

Output of /proc/bus/usb/devices
