Hello,
-
- -
- - Now, the weird thing is, I thought I'd try traceroute from my SuSE installation, where the website loads and updates just fine, and I got the same result.

Is it possible that the page is cached on the SuSE partition?

- -
- - Some more weirdness - doing an nslookup yielded some strange results:
- -
- - eraasch at xalice:~> nslookup madison.com
- - Server: ns1.chorus.net
- - Address: 216.165.128.161
- -
- - Non-authoritative answer:
- - Name: madison.com
- - Address: 64.73.25.70
- -
- - eraasch at xalice:~> nslookup 64.73.25.70
- - Server: ns1.chorus.net
- - Address: 216.165.128.161
- -
- - Name: millionaire.madison.com
- - Address: 64.73.25.70

--When I enter millionaire.madison.com into the address bar of my browser, it takes me to the site of an interactive auction that was sponsored by madison.com, and which is apparently part of the madison.com site.

I don't really find anything strange about this. You can set up apache
to answer to one IP address (use NameVirtualHost), and then set up the
VirtualHost directives with domain names that point to different
directories.
