Poppy,

Pleeeaseee tell me which GUI you used. For about a year now I keep
gettinng "packages already installed". I could be at version 0ne and
attempting to install version 5 of "foo" and get thes same message.
Again and again from mndk 8.0 to 8.2, drake antthing and urpmi in the
CL. Root or not.
This happened even on a very clean installs from a brand new CD to a
brand new HD and on two separate boxes. I was begining to think mandrake
update was just publice relations and not a working program.
