Ha! Found it: JavaVM5 creates a UNIX-domain socket for the
plugin to connect to. It names this socket /tmp/jpsock.131.pid, where
pid is the Mozilla pid.
Thanks for the orbit answers. Dang we be good. XFCE puts little lightning
bolts next to these critters in xftree, it's rather alarming.
