You're right, adding testing lines to /etc/apt/sources.list is pretty
much it. http://www.debian.org/releases/testing/ has the specific
lines necessary, and links to the release notes, which probably have
some upgrading instructions.  testing is relatively close to becoming
stable, so they might even be accurate :).
