[techtalk] Desperate Plea for CDROM mounting help!!

Hi Susan,

I'm not sure I can help, especially considering that a Linux User Group
already looked at it, but I'll give it the ol' college try! Let's start at
the beginning. Login as root, insert a CD (that you know for certain is
good) into the drive, and type at the command line:

   mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom

If that succeeds, list the contents of /mnt/cdrom just to make sure you
can see them, then type:

   umount /dev/cdrom

If mounting doesn't work, let me know what error message you get, and send
me the results of two commands:

   ls -l /
   ls -l /dev
