under the link "free ISPs", there is a lot of information about connecting
to free ISPs like juno, netzero, etc. 

Some of them are not in plain english so they might be hard to dissect. A
guy at work managed to get the juno one working in windows (no ads), so
something works (if you need more info I can ask how he did it).
