[techtalk] winmodem sound driver

Sounds like false advertising to me also, and really would have been a few
months ago, when there was NO technology available to make winmodems work
under Linux.  I always suggest to people to go to Red Hat's HCL
(www.redhat.com/hardware) to check before they buy anything.  Just because
something's not listed as tier 1 on the list doesn't mean it won't work,
but the HCL is based on our experience with trying to help customers get
Linux to work with different types of hardware.  I believe the PC Chips
motherboards are listed as problematic, as we have seen many problems with
them and Linux lately, so that machine that was bought with Red Hat Linux
pre-installed is even scarier.  (:
