The Minnesota Supercomputing Institute (MSI) at The University of Minnesota
currently has two openings for Level-2 System Administrators in the
Persistent Systems Infrastructure unit of the advanced operations group.

The Minnesota Supercomputing Institute provides high-performance computing
resources and research computing support to the University of Minnesota and
other Minnesota institutions of higher learning. We offer employees the
opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art
research in a fast-paced environment. MSI is centrally located at the
University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus, on the East Bank.

A second-level professional system/database administrator within the PSI
group will be tasked with performing system/database administration,
design, and upgrades for a broad range of complex systems that support the
supercomputer clusters and other services at MSI. Incumbents are
experienced professionals competent at high technical levels, serving as
subject matter experts in multiple technical disciplines. They may
independently lead small-scale or sub-functional teams/projects.

Successful candidates will operate as a member of a diverse, multi-member
operations group, utilizing their technical knowledge and skills along with
other members of the group.
