This role is an opportunity to use a wide variety of technical skills to
help maintain and create new systems while allowing for learning and growth
within the tech industry.  Creativity and technical excellence are

Responsibilities:
• Maintain core systems on both Linux and Windows
• Compose and maintain internal documentation
• Assist in product deployments, upgrades and maintenance
• Maintain the patch levels of OS and application patches on all systems
• Monitoring of all systems
• Maintaining & deploying highly available virtual server environments
• Make good judgments about the relative priority of various requests and
set clear expectations with employees regarding when they should expect
resolution

Required Qualifications:
• 2+ years of systems administration experience
• Experience in Linux and Windows environments
• Knowledge of fundamental security practices
• Working knowledge of foundational networking protocols
• Dependability and reliability
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Methodical and disciplined approach to problem solving
• BS degree in Computer Sciences or related field (an equivalent
combination of related education, training, and experience may be
considered)

Additional Desired Qualifications:
• OpenBSD, FreeBSD or NetBSD experience
• Xen, VMware, Amazon EC2 or other virtualization experience
• PostgreSQL and Mysql database administration
• Active Directory and Windows Server knowledge
• Previous work with the following storage technologies: SAN, NFS or ZFS
• Experience with physical switches, routers and firewalls
