Hello LinuxChix,

This is a posting for an OSS-friendly office IT office manager for the
Wikimedia Foundation (Wikipedia) in downtown San Francisco.

The detailed job description and application instructions are here:
http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Job_openings/Office_IT_Manager.
There is no deadline: we've had some difficulty finding someone who's
truly OSS-friendly, and we're keeping the posting open until the right
person turns up. Please feel free to share this posting with your
networks.

Thanks,
Sue

Snip from the posting: "YOU ARE ... an experienced IT manager and
enthusiastic about the use of free and open source software in office
environments. You run a Linux distribution at home, but are also
familiar with Macs and Windows. You can provide competent support for
all three platforms, while gently nudging users towards open source
where possible, and providing help to manage the transition. You're a
detail-oriented systems builder, and used to being in charge of
ensuring that networks are operational, backups of all in-office data
are regularly created, inventory is properly tracked, documentation is
maintained, and so forth. You're excited about being part of the small
staff of the non-profit organization that operates Wikipedia."
