Manager of System Administration - Web, Systems & Departmental Services

Ithaca College’s department of Web, Systems and Departmental Services is
searching for a qualified and highly motivated individual to manage the
college’s system administration services.  The successful candidate will
manage a team of 6 system administrators in running the college’s numerous
Sun Solaris, Windows, Novell, and OpenVMS-based servers and central
applications such as email, the Oracle’s 11i application suite, Web, LDAP,
and other services.  In addition this position will have primary system
administration responsibilities for a number of Sun Solaris servers (Web,
Calendar, Library, etc.).

Additional duties include: specifying, acquiring, and configuring computer
server hardware and software; recommending department- and college-wide
system administration policies and procedures that comply with current
accepted industry-standards; and developing and monitoring service level
agreements with other departments within ITS and the college.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related
technical field and a minimum of 7 years experience.  Please refer to the
