(TIP: This is a University job - and the beginning of the job application

PROGRAM STAFF - SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER II
Salary: $5,012.00+ Monthly - Commensurate with experience

The selected individual will be responsible for developing, testing, and
maintaining the application software platform to redesign and deploy the
university website built on a content management system. The Systems
Programmer II should be able install, configure, extend, and maintain
applications such as content management systems, LDAP, application
servers, and web servers.
DUTIES:
* Migrate existing code and functionality from existing sources such as MS
ASP, Perl, SQL server, MySQL to the platform utilizing oracle, a CMS,
application server, and webserver
* Develop templates, workflow on the CMS
* Customize the CMS where appropriate
* Contribute to all technical aspects of website migrations
* Work with the QA person to develop test matrices
* Perform QA
* Handle questions from end users
* Be available during off-hours to handle critical situations
* Implement new projects as dictated by the end user requirements
* Work under the direction of Web Project manager
REQUIRED:
* Have a BS degree in Computer Science or related field
* Have a verifiable record of developing and delivering quality internet-based
scalable software on time, on budget, and in compliance with customer
requirements.
* Have ten or more years of software design & development experience.
* Be proficient in Java, J2EE, JSP, EJB, XML, Struts, Ant, JUnit and Web
Services.
* Be proficient in one or more content management systems by having
developed websites/ applications using a CMS
* Be proficient in one or more of the following: WebSphere, Weblogic,
JBoss
* Possess strong knowledge of Apache and oracle
* Have a clear understanding of how search engines function
* Have experience with migration from one platform/ programming
environment to another
PREFRRED:
* Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
