Yes that point about being impossible to be hired without a degree in
CS is true (for all countries). Imho, there is a larger bias against
self-taught people and also degrees obtained via distance education,
irrespective of the field of study. The trust factor (regarding
ability to perform) is stacked against them. I believe, every person
does not deserve to be bracketed thus. A writeup on that with
different economies across countries would be an interesting read. Why
do we humans create barriers and put restrictions making the truly
motivated people disillusioned ?  .02, || svaksha ||
