Hello,

My name is Bill Blaney, and I currently live in Hanover, PA, USA.  I've been in 
the Computer Programming business for 22 years (!), mostly IBM mainframes with 
a smattering of VMS, Unix and the like.  I've programmed professionally in 
COBOL, and IBM Assembler, and have played with Pascal, C, C++ and Java.  I 
currently work as a IDMS and DB2 Database Administrator on a contract with the 
SSA.

I've been interested in Linux since 1998, and have heard that Python is a good 
language to learn.  (Not that I wanted to be a Python programer, no, I wanted 
to be a lumberjack! ...)

I plan on buying the book. I've reached the age where I suffer from volatile 
memory, so its nice to have a permanent back up ;)
