[Techtalk] Suggestions for new Chrome user

Hi,
I am thinking of using Chrome as my default browser. I currently use Firefox,
with addons like All-in-One Sidebar, Firebug, WebDeveloper, Configuration
Mania, Aardvark, Extension Manager, Extension Dumper, Go Parent Folder, Tiny
Menu, and the usual security addon's. The all-in-one sidebar developer,
great addon/great developer, indicated he isn't working with FF any longer
so future features/fixes are unknown. That isn't why I'm moving :-), but
it was added to the list.
It seems popular today to remove the status bar and menu (I think the
shortcut keys remain though) in IDE's. I'm all for minimalistic, but I
usually get rid of everything else and keep those items, so there is
something small on the top, bottom, and on the left. Maybe we'll get
to a day where everyone creates their own IDE with drop'n drag widgets.
You open up a virtual box and pull out the pieces one at a time and hook
them together like ikea furniture or lincoln logs. :-)
Anyone make the move from FF to Chrome and have any advice, suggestions,
things you found out, wish you knew?
Windows isn't my main environment, so IE is out, but if you have another
browser you want to give a shout out, I would be interested. Top
priorities are always performance, security, and privacy, then everything
else.
Thank you.
