[Techtalk] Live CD distros and Dual Monitors

Hi all.

I've made the switch recently from Windows to Linux at work (Fedora 11). 
  The one thing I miss in a large way is support for my dual monitor 
setup.  I've gone through countless xorg.conf files and googled ad 
infinitum and, for whatever reason, the Fedora drivers don't support my 
setup.  I have one VGA and one DVI and I can never get output from the 
DVI.  Both monitors have DVI inputs and neither of those work.

My question is, if I use a Live CD, will I know if the distro will 
support my setup without having to install the whole thing?  I'd really 
like to know if it will work before I switch.   Also, any insight as to 
why this might be working or prior experience is appreciated.
