[Techtalk] secret processes?

I've had so many issues like that in the last few releases of ubuntu.
I vaguely recall having to kill a lot because of pidgin sound issues,
but mostly it's firefox/flash issues. So I don't know if this will
work for you but here's what I've done.

I've had to kill off everything with "pulse" in the name, for example:
/usr/bin/pulse-session and /usr/bin/pulseaudio
And totem pops up when I wouldn't expect it. So I also have had to
kill anything with "totem" in the name, for example:
/usr/lib/totem/gstreamer/totem-plugin-viewer
And for me it's mostly a firefox problem, so I kill that too. It's
really disturbing to me that killing pidgin didn't fix it for you.
