Hello,
Thank you.
I have done as you instruct. The starting java 6 splash runs then as the
webstart validation window should open the splash applet disappears
nothing else happens. Note: Running as user in galeon browser.
Output from ps ax (as root:
16308 ? Sl 0:01 /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.10/jre/bin/java
-Xbootclasspath/a:/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.10/jre/lib/javaws.jar:/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.10/jre
16332 pts/1 R+ 0:00 ps ax
So it should be running, but certainly does not show on screen or as
network traffic in my gkrellM. I do not know how to further check this.

I then ran as root updatedb, and # java -version.
Finally exit root, opened galeon and tried to start a known web-start
application (etrade-pro in this case, as I know it is stable and data
dense). The result is shown above in the #ps ax.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
