dd if=/dev/fd0 of=etherboot.img
mount -o loop etherboot.img /mount/point
That should work. It may be that trying to mount the floppy doesn't expect
a hard disk type filesystem. Hmm, I wonder would
mount -t ext2 /dev/fd0 /mount/point
work?
