Hello,
I am in a a littlt bit bigger private group coding an Strategical Action
Game in C/ASM plus scripting engine. It is a Game like "Fleet Command"
and since I am french military (11 days and my part is over) I was doing
the technical stuff (real weapon design).
The Game is 100% GPL including tonns of video sequences and audio but
there is definitivly a distribution problem (specialy in Debian)
I have already splited the videos, audios, game data and the Game is now
over 40 Debian Packages but still 5 CD's or ONE DVD. this would be fine
even for Debian-Mirrors but the Sources are the killer!!!
Nearly 26 GByte...
In general the ORIGINAL Videos I took all over the world.
And since we cut out sequences which are included into the Game, we
can not shrink it down compress it. The quality loss is to hight.
Unfortunatly we have some technical (opps... crashing) problems.
But anyway, the Game will be distributed with a special 64bit Debian-
Live-CD, created by my own. The game will not run on a i386. It works
perfectly with "amd64" but give us problems if someone use a EMT64.
