Be aware though that WinXP is crippled where formatting FAT32 partitions
is concerned.  If the partition is too big {like big enough to be useful}
the format command returns an error.  The MS knowledgebase entry says of
the error that it has been decided that users should use NTFS filesystems
and that the format command has been adjusted accordingly.  Not in exactly
those words but the intention is clear...  You'll need a WIN2K or Win98
format command to successfully do it.  or maybe the linux mkdosfs
command...
