[Techtalk] Mac or Linux for photo printing?

I was asking about printing photos and doing print layouts, not just image
editing, or editing images for the web. Thanks Akkana and Chris for helpful
stuff, and everyone else for answering "why do graphics person adore teh
mac."

I don't care about finicky color adjustments or RGB or CMYK or how many pixels
can dance on the head of a pin. When I want to print a pic exactly a certain
size, or give it a bit of a border, or do a bunch of images on a page, I want
to be able to set it up the way I want without having to calculate freakin'
pixels and height-width ratios. For example, in some windoze app I forget now
I remember being able to go into a dialog and type in the print size
dimensions exactly, and it was fairly simple to do page layouts with just
images, or text and images. Probably some cheapo Printshop knockoff, I don't
remember.

I'm going to take one more look at printing in Gimp, and give PhotoPrint a
try. Any other brainiacal ideas welcome. I'm not The Amazing Danamania And
Her Amazing Obedient Pixel Molecules. Just ole me. :)
