I have HCF on my PC (from my brother, not that you think I bought such a 
device ;-) and used the beta drivers that I found for free with google. 
The Linuxant drivers were IIRC 20$ and for that money I'd get a real modem 
as well. But I have Win2k and debian woody and at least I can say that 
they aren't slowlier than the Windows-drivers
