[Techtalk] kmail hangs

hi,
i use kmail on mandrak10 with kde - default out of the box install. 
The most common key i use is of course 'delete'. About once a week, 
when deleting all the spam, kmail hangs on a delete. The watch icon 
appears and nothing happens. Have to kill and restart. Any idea why 
this happens? The irritating thing is that everything in wastbin 
comes back into the inbox and all the mails in the inbox are marked 
as unread.
