(II) I810(0): BIOS now sees 8000 kB VideoRAM
(--) I810(0): Pre-allocated VideoRAM: 8060 kByte
(==) I810(0): VideoRAM: 32768 kByte
(==) I810(0): video overlay key set to 0x101fe
(**) I810(0): page flipping disabled
(--) I810(0): Maximum frambuffer space: 32616 kByte
(==) I810(0): Using gamma correction (1.0, 1.0, 1.0)
(II) I810(0): 1 display pipe available.

So default setting is to use 32M of video RAM, which should be enough
for what i am asking. And it is not complaining about inability to
obtain the memory.
I can provide the complete XFREE log if asked. Its a bit big though
which is why i am posting excerpts so far.

OK, i have downloaded the relevant documentation from Intel (try finding
something fast on that website...), and finaly on page 528 they provide
the register settings for a 1920x1440 at 60Hz resolution. So the integrated
video (845G chipset, superset of 810) should be able to do it.

I've been using the following modeline generators with no luck:
http://xtiming.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/xtiming.pl (The same one Carla
was pointing at) and
http://koala.ilog.fr/cgi-bin/nph-colas-modelines

Any further ideas?

Rudy
