[Techtalk] Multiple instances of my CD-RW and DVD drives

So last night I put in a new dvd drive.  I already had a CD-RW so
ide-scsi was all set up and working.  However, (and it took me ages to
find this out) scd0 to scd6 point to my DVD drive (secondary master,
hdc) scd7 to scd13 point to my CD-RW drive (secondary slave, hdd).  I've
set up my fstab and I can mount both drives just fine.  So is this
something I should be worried about?
Also, when I open up k3b each drive is listed seven times.  Not the
worst thing in the world but it's driving me nuts...

/dev/scd7     /mnt/cdrom  iso9660   noauto,ro,exec           0    0
