[Techtalk] Soldering irons (OT?)

I've always found a 25-watt soldering iron to be
plenty powerful (if a little slow heating up), and
fairly forgiving of beginners' mistakes.

Digital multimeters seem to dominate the market, but
I bought an analog version which does everything I
need it to for <US$50, because I like to see a
needle twitch, rather than wondering whether the
digits have settled down.
