Domain registrars don't generally have grounds for being pro- or
anti-OSS. If you want a "community conscious" registrar, you might want
to try one that has a policy of cancelling the domains of spammers.
GoDaddy.com is excellent there, and Doster.com is also very good.
In terms of quality of service, I seem to remember that Gandi.net had
one of the top ratings from the Domain Name Buyer's Guide. You'll have
to take my word for it though, because DomainNameBuyersGuide.com seems
to have gone out of business. :-(
