[Techtalk] Audio recording

I have a CD I can't rip from the CD-ROM drive -- I've tried it on 
several computers but nothing will read it. It plays fine on my stereo 
system, though, so I thought I'd try recording it into the Line-In port 
of the Linux system. What I need to know is what program to do this 
with, and basically how to chop up the stream into individual songs 
that I can then rip down to mp3s.
