As root:
rmmod ide-scsi
rmmod ide-cd
modprobe ide-scsi
You need to remove ide-scsi if it was loaded while ide-cd was loaded
before it.

cdrecord -scanbus
cdrecord dev=0,0,0 speed=32 fs=8M -e -eject /path/to/fedora.iso
