Being 32 bit processors, x86 CPUs only support 4 Gb of RAM directly. Accessing
more memory than that requires a kernel with some extra "tricks" enabled;
kernel-bigmem-2.4.20-8.i686.rpm would appear to be the appropriate RedHat option.
