Mine doesn't but it _does_ colour list messages red while non list
messages are bright yellow.  In my .muttrc:

color index yellow default "~A"		# read messages yellow
color index magenta default "~l"	# list messages red
color index brightyellow default "~N"	# unread messages bright yellow
color index brightred default "~N~l"	# unread list messages bright red
color index brightblue default "~Q"	# replied to messages brightblue
