In the end what I decided to do is this:
	- export the approximately current version of the code base
	- rip out all the stuff that I know is specific to that client and that
	  I won't be using with the new client
	- create a new CVS repository with the barebones (and slightly
	  reconfigured code base which has separate Config and Classes
	  directories, instead of a single PHP directory, to make uploads 
	  to the server easier)
	- create a branch for the latest client (some of their work I've
	  agreed not to release as open source for a year, so I need to have
	  some way of keeping their work separate)
	- create a new sandbox from the branch
	- start developing

I think that pretty much covers everything...any thoughts on this plan of
attack?
