Well, that's all I turned up. As for the difference, definitely go with
0x85. Googling "0x0F" and "extended partition" together, I can see that
0x0F is also another code for a DOS-based extended partition:

The above links pretty much confirm that 0x0F is also a type of
DOS-based partition and should not be used as a linux partition type.
