Thanks Terri:

I did that and it all seemed easy enough. After the aliases were
creaded, I was told I had 25. I counted them and lo and behold, there
were 25. I then rebooted the server. (I know I don't have to, but I am
in the habit from Windows.) Anyhow, I got my college account registered
with the test mailing list, but for some reason, I cannot reply to the
list. Way below is a snippet of what I get.

I assume the problem is in this area:

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
"|/home/mailman/mail/mailman post test"
    (reason: 127)
    (expanded from: <test at soleil.jenn.ca>)

----- Transcript of session follows -----
sh: line 1: /home/mailman/mail/mailman: No such file or directory
554 5.3.0 unknown mailer error 127

    [ Part 3.2: "Delivery Status" ]

At this point, I am over my head. I assume that there is a problem with
the aliasing. The directory of home/mailman/mail is empty.
Google.groups is not helping me here. If it helps, I am using slackware 9
with the default sendmail.

Anyhow, thanks again

Jenn
