Please put http://www.w3schools.com/ on your list of must-have links.

The editor you choose is only going to be able to do so much even for an 
internal web site. The link above will give you a fundamental understanding 
of HTML (and a whole lot more if you choose). My biggest problem with some 
editors was, *Now why did it do _that_????*

Then, I would most likely recommend Quanta for this application. I use 
Bluefish more, but that's because I don't care for too much automation. I 
have not used/tried Mozilla's editor.
