When I took my introductory web programming classes, Quanta was
invaluable. I liked being able to preview my page without leaving the
program. For straight up HTML it worked great. The syntax highlighting
fell apart on Javascript, but I wasn't worried about highlighting in my
Javascript code.

One of my fellow students had a very negative experience with Screem and
switched to Quanta as well. Unfortunately we were the only two running
Linux in class, so that is the extent of my experience with integrated
web design apps.
