To get the puppy to boot (if you have Windows on hda and Linux on hdb),
mount a DOS formatted floppy disk while you're in Linux. At the CLI, type
the following:
dd if=/dev/hdb bs=512 count=1 of=/mnt/floppy/linux.bin

Unmount and remove the floppy and boot into Windows. Copy the linux.bin
off the floppy into the root of the Windows drive (usually c:). Open the
file called boot.ini in Notepad (you may have to play with File->Options to
get it to show hidden and protected files) and add the line c:
\linux.bin=Red Hat 8.0 (or whatever distro you're using) at the end of the
file (make sure you put in a return) and save it. From then on, when you
boot into windows, you will have the option of going into Linux when the
boot menu comes up.
