[Techtalk] IRC --IM

ksirc is the default KDE IRC install with some distros. Having said that,
I've used both ksirc and kvirc, and I think you got the better product
right off the gitgo: I found ksirc to be less stable and less user friendly
in general, and at the time, I was in a telecommuting work situation where
IRC wasn't optional, it was the standard quick communication method between
staff---so you generally left it open 24/7.

I've also used xchat, and I know a lot of people swear by it, but of the
three, I really did prefer kvirc. That *may* be due to the fact that it's
more like mIRC, which is the dominant program for Windows and the first IRC
client I ever used.
