Oh no, not *that* question! :)
VIM, use it for everything (even write mail in it).

Text, text editors, word processors, it's quite an obsession.
It's been an obsession for a long time. There's even a guide
I wrote for people who still have to deal with plain text on
the web (originally intended for the fan-based writing group:
alt.tv.x-files.creative/ long stories in plain text and quite
a few were turning up with lousy formatting => unreadable).
The guide does contain a few *old* editors/w.processors that
might not be known, and the outside URLs haven't been checked
for a while.
