This server - the LinuxChix server - has been unable to mail people from
time to time, because our ONLY AVAILABLE upstream providers - Telstra
and Optus - were blocked.

At the time, there were only two ISPs that could provide any service off
this island (Australia), and they were both being blocked by
spamfilters.
Admittedly, pressure has either caused them to close open relays/be more
willing to kick spammers, or has caused the spamfilters to be more
discriminating in who they block, but it's still made me wary of spam
filters that kick entire ISPs.

If you ever become unable to receive LinuxChix email because of your
blocks, Raven - well. Nothing I can do. I only have a -very- limited
range of backbones to choose from.
