AARGH! I was just writing to offer to check it on my system, when I remembered that my husband just decided last night to reinstall it. I could contact the GNOME guy at SuSE and see if it is a known issue, but he is really busy right now. Would that help? My laptop doesn't even have GNOME 1.4 installed.
