Have a look around for an "autorun" or "autostart" directory/file in your
$HOME or $HOME/Desktop.  IIRC, KDE will launch anything in there at
login.

Don't know reiser fs but ext2/3 is designed to run "fragmented" (ie. files
are fairly randomly distributed about the disk which means each file tends
to be in one piece.  OTOH, MS fat filesystems fill up from the bottom so a
file is immediately surrounded by other files.  It it grows, bits of it
end up elsewhere on the disk.  This is the _real_ fragmentation.
