[Techtalk] File Sharing in Linux

Hi, all.  Here's a really stupid newbie question:  how can I 
share/transfer files from one SuSE box on the network to another one?  
I've got LinnNeighborhood for Samba connections, which works great.  
However, I just installed SuSE 8.0 on a second machine (so the kids can 
play TuxRacer without bothering me!), and it occurred to me that I 
don't know how to do the same thing in Linux!

I don't want to set up a full server thing - this is more because I'd 
like to be able to copy or transfer a few files from one box to the 
other occasionally.
