I know I shouldn't complicate things, and what Jenn is saying is the
mainline approach to the problem, and a good one. Probably the best.
	All that said, if I were doing it (and this is coming from a SuSE
point of view) I'd consider setting up apache and serving files as a local
website.
	There are a number of reasons for this, not the least of which is
apache (which is easy to set up in any event) is rendered trivial on SuSE.
	Another advantage is you're just networking simple http; stuff
most folks will get really easy (it's just like using the web to set up a
file to be downloaded, etc) and is a useful skill in and of itself.
	Not that I'm saying you _should_ do this; just that it's a viable
option. I often thing people should take the approach they find least
scary/most interesting, because that's what they're motivated to learn at
the moment.
	But that's just me.
